Sheridan is a highly motivated, dedicated and passionate choreographer and dance educator, with over 38 years experience in performance, production, theatre and dance. Former world class professional dancer, with a weath of experience, Sheridan is a committed dance teacher and choreographer working with students of all experience, specialising in RAD Classical Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Adagio and Musical Theatre and Performance.
International production company Bor Productions latest show "Boogie World" on board the MSC Musica was directed and choreographed by Sheridan in 2019.
Possessing a track record of producing, directing and choreographing stage shows for theatres and corporate events, Sheridan has diverse experience, with performing, choreography, dance company management and dance captain roles. A creative and committed professional, with extensive attributes and a passion for dance is what keeps her so enthusiastic in the entertainment industry. Having worked in television and the theatre for many years, Sheridan has a great passion in producing all round dancers and performers at an elite level that can take them in many directions in the entertainment industry. Sheridan's credits include dancer on - "The Two Ronnies in Australia" (Series on Channel 9), The Midday Show - Hey Hey Its Saturday. Several Casino shows , (Darwin, Hobart, Launceston, and Jupiters) where in her 7th production at Jupiters, was Assistant choreographer and dance captain. She did a 12 month tour as lead dancer with a show in South Korea and also worked as Lead Adagio/Dancer on a world tour on board the QE11 Cruise Liner. She has produced a Teen pop band (Undercover 5) and now, has many students dancing and performing around the world.
Gailene Colson-Howe was the owner and director of one of Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs largest and most successful dance schools TDC (The Dance Centre) for 17 years and since moving to the Gold Coast 18 years ago has been a teacher at Sheridan’s Studio 1.
Past and present students of Gailene’s have performed in ballet companies, feature films, cruise ships, overseas contracts, commercial dance and opened their own successful dance schools.
Prior to opening her own studio in 1985 Gailene danced professionally in many shows and corporate events and backed entertainers of the 80’s such as Jackie Love, Danny La Rueand Simon Gallaher. She also performed in many corporate events for the Swanettes and Rockettes and was contracted as a ‘dance model’ for Westfield and Myer. Her most recent professional gig is as one of the ‘Ostelin’ ladies in the latest TVC.
Gailene Colson-Howe is extremely knowledgable and experienced in all genre’s of performing arts including classical ballet (RAD RTS). She has mentored numerous students on the RAD teaching certificate program. Gailene has recently branched in adjudication and enjoys sharing her wealth of experience with up and coming young dancers.
Chase has been dancing/singing and training in all styles for the past 19 years. He has trained in some of the best facilities and worked with amazing choreographers both here in Australia and also in the USA. Chase has just returned from 3 years of performing on luxury cruise line Celebrity Cruises, taking the position of dance captian in 2019.
Chase is currently between Los Angeles and the Gold Coast working his craft. From the age of 3, Chase has been featured in many television commercials including Weetbix, Kmart, Qld Transport, Uncle Tobys, Dreamworld, Seaworld. He made an impression at age 7 when he made it to the finals of Australia's Got Talent season 1. He went on to play a lead supporting role int the feature film "A Heart Beat Away". At age 11 Chase was in Teen Pop group Undercover 5 and recorded an album which can be found on iTunes.
Chase has won several scholarships over the years including the Broadway Dance Centre in New York, The Dance Awards in the USA and also at Pulse Dance Conventions also in the USA. With a passion for commercial dance and Hip Hop, Chase’s choreography has won competitions here in Australia and also overseas. With regualr training and experiences in the USA, Chase brings a modern and funky vibe to SS1 and is a great asset to our teaching team. Chase brings a wealth of knowledge from the entertainment world to share with our students.
Arna began Classical Dance training at the age of 4 and has trained in all forms of modern dance. At 17, Arna competed in the RAD Adeline Geneé awards in London. After the competition she went and auditioned at several European schools, she procured a placement with the Vienna Opera Ballet School where she trained for one year before receiving a contract with the Österreiches Ballet Theatre. Her performances include Sleeping Beauty, Die Puppenfie, Raymonda,La Sylphide, Giselle, various Contemporary works, Waltz excerpts, and performances with the Opera. Arna also performed in the 1996 film La Prima Musica, filmed in Vienna.
Upon returning from Europe Arna completed her RAD Teaching Certificate. She taught at several schools on the Gold Coast before setting up her own school in partnership that specialized in ballet and offered full time tuition for students looking to get placements at prestigious ballet schools internationally. Many of her past students have been successful in getting into schools and companies throughout the UK, Europe and the USA, as well as at the Australia Ballet School. Several former pupils have gone on to professional dance careers throughout the world. Arna strives to deliver high caliber tuition and guidance to all her students. She is also a Level 1 Yoga teacher.
Sophie has been a part of the Sheridan’s team for over 8 years and has always had a strong passion for the singing/ musical theatre side to the entertainment industry. Having trained in all styles of dance and musical theatre at SS1, Sophie then went on to complete a full time course in Musical Theatre with Brent Street in Sydney. A working professional, performing on a day to day basis here on the Gold Coast, Sophie strives to help younger generations develop new skills and a love for singing. Sophie brings a fun, positive and energetic perspective to both young and mature singers and encourages everyone to convey their own individuality to the performance side of singing.
Brooke has done her training under the direction of Sheridan at SS1 for the past 10 years and is a graduate from full time, with Village Performing Arts in Sydney. Having studied all styles of dance, Brooke has found her passion in commercial jazz and hip hop and has moved into coreography. Brooke has recently appeared as a featured dancer in the new blockbuster film "Dora the Explorer" working with international choreographer Michael Rooney and Kate Wormald. Brooke has done many corporate events and performances and loves to share her passion and experience with the students. Brooke is a regular teacher and choreographer at SS1 and can also be seen working as part of our Admin staff.
Tk is our funky and fresh Hip Hop teacher who is currently a member of Australia's number 1 adult Hip Hop crew - after coming 1st at HHI 2016!
TK started his career in 2010 for MC'd "Bring It On" which is where he developed a love and passion for Hip-Hop dance. In 2011, with no formal training, TK helped form Academy Of Brothers crew. 2012, TK got the opportunity to compete at the Hip Hop International Championships in Las Vegas, Nevada as part of Team Australia. In 2013 TK was finalist on "Australia's Got Talent" - Season Seven with Academy Of Brothers (placed 3rd) and in 2014 was a part of the "City Of Dance" - G20 Summit. In August of 2016, TK was given another opportunity to compete at the Hip Hop International Championships which were held in San Diego, again with Team Australia with his current Adult Crew "The D" who placed 13th in the World and recently competed in Brisbane at the Battleground qualifiers coming first place with "The D (2015)".
Ben Hur NICOLODI descends from an original circus dynasty hailing from Italy. Born in Norway into the 7th generation of this long-running, artistic family, he was being trained as an acrobat by his father, literally, before he could walk. Professional at the age of 9, Ben Hur was the “front man” in the family act due to his precocious and dynamic performance. During this period he worked in circus’ Krone, Knie, Barum, Americano, Pinder, Medrano, Price, Bouglione, Angel Cristo, Moira Orfei amongst others. At age 15 Ben competed for and won the much coveted Silver Clown Award at the Monte-Carlo Festival du Cirque presented by HRH’s Prince Rainier and Princess Grace Kelly . After comprehensively blitzing Europe, the glittering lights Of Las Vegas, Reno and Atlantic City called. Ben Hur performed for such iconic producers such as Frederic Apcar and Don Arden in Dunes, Casino De Paris and Harrahs Casinos. As a young man and already a decade in the business, Ben Hurs’ contracts became more and more prestigious. Renowned cabarets such as Sporting Club and Loewes, Monte Carlo, Es Fuegaro and Son Amar, Spain, Tigerpalast, Hansa Theatre and Urania Theatre, Germany all wanted to showcase the Italian act returning from USA. Finally the iconic Moulin Rouge in Paris opened their doors and what was to unfold simply made show business history. A dream come true for any artist, this contract was renewed year after year for a total of 13 years, spanning over 3 multi-million dollar shows. Unprecedented for and act at the Moulin Rouge. While contracted at the Moulin Rouge Ben travelled with their promotional touring company performing in prestigious hotels such as the Ritz, Plaza, Carlton and Savoy. This included A Royal Performance in London before Charles and Diana the Prince and Princess of Wales at the Savoy. With the bulk of his career accomplished in the most illustrious fashion, Ben Hur counted an array of over 30 television special performances worldwide. Movie appearances and special Gala events combining with superstars such as Paul Newman, Jerry Lewis, La Toya Jackson, Ray Charles, Shirley Maclane, Liza Minelli just to mention a few were commonplace. Ben Hur used his wealth of experience to self-produce the show“Music is My Life!”, combining his talents with those of his wife’s, former Moulin Rouge star Marissa Burgess. Together they perform this act in Australian clubs, the corporate scene and aboard Super Stars’ Virgo, Gemini and Libra vessels for Star Cruises throughout Asia. Next Ben re-instated a franchise of his family act“Chicagos” which ran a record length 7 years at the Moulin Rouge and produced it for Sheraton Grande Walkerhill. This act continues to circulate on the International act circuit today. Ben was then required under the capacity of Artistic and Stage Management Consultancy for the creation of Danze Fantasy Productions show“Zephora” once again at Sheraton Grande Walkerhill. Most recently, solicited by Palazzo Production, Ben co-created and managed a dance group with Marissa Burgess. “Les Deesses” have successfully completed the seasons 2008, 9 and 10 with the group now franchised in three venues. Ben now has Australian Citizenship and recognized to be one of Australia’s most sought after acrobatic coaches. He also mentors internationally employed acrobats and consults for productions companies. Ben’s proudest achievement to date is the placement of “Chicagos” in their rightful home, an unprecedented return to be contracted once again at the Moulin Rouge 2013!
Ngavaine started dancing hip hop at the age of 13 years old and now 13 years later she has gone from a small town girl from New Zealand to a passionate, motivated and talented lady who has travelled around the world and danced for some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry. Ngavaine has back up danced for Jennifer Lopez and Flo Rida on American Idol and danced on her music video “Goin in” 2012 . She has worked for the largest theatrical business in the world “Cirque Du Soleil” on a 2 year contract with the show Micheal Jackson ONE in Las Vegas.
Ngavaine has always been a competitive and determine dancer and has competed at numerous competitions around the world like “World of Dance” with The Homebase placing 1st in the open division in Brisbane 2017 and in Mexico at “Dancers Paradise” with The Homebase placing 3rd 2016. At the “World Hip Hop Championships” against 47+ countries she has competed 3 times and has walked away with medals every time. She has won BRONZE in 2008 with Supremacy Dance Crew in the Varsity Division (13-18yrs age group), SILVER 2011 with Request Dance Crew in the Adults Division and GOLD twice 2011 and 2012 with The Royal Family in the Mega Crew Division. She has competed with Request Dance Crew 2012 taking out first place in the prestigious dance competition in San Diego "BODY ROCK" .
She has worked and featured on a SONY advertisement for the Smartband in Chile 2012. After finishing her 2 year contract in 2014 with “Cirque du Soleil” she moved to Australia to share what she had learnt and experienced from the industry in America choreographing for productions like “7 vices” by Dancers Editorial in 2016 (a Sydney Production company) and local productions from Brisbane like “Shade” 2016 and “Pink Matter” 2017. Ngavaine mentors all ages through her 10 week artist dance program called “The Process” which she started at the beginning of 2017 and has successfully been running it now for the 5th time. She teaches regular classes at many dance studios in Queensland and workshops all over Australia. With all the experience she has been blessed with through dance, she is determine to share, develop and inspire the next generation to make their DREAMS come true.
Kylie Michelle Smith has recently returned to Australia after almost 4 years performing abroad.
After relocating to London in 2013, Kylie performed in a number of shows including 'We Will Rock You', 'Rock of Ages' (UK National Tour), 'Musical Rocks' (Germany/Austria) and Dick Whittington (Scotland).
Kylie also appeared on the hit TV program, 'Strictly Come Dancing', the Baileys Nutcracker Christmas Advert starring Royal Ballet/Australian ballet principal, Steven McRae and worked on music videos for several European artists including Geri Halliwell.
Other credits include, Conrad Jupiters Casino, Royal Caribbean International, Universal Studios Japan, Carlsberg Euro Cup Tour (Malaysia/Singapore) Raw Metal, Sydney Mardi Gras, Guy Sebastian, and Marilyn Monroe at Warner Brothers Movieworld.
My name is Heidi Jennings, I was born in Leeton, NSW & I have been dancing since the age of 3, studying in all genres of dance. At the age of sixteen, I moved to Melbourne, where I attended Danceworld 301’s fulltime course to study ballet.
Whilst studying fulltime, I had the opportunity to tour Germany and Austria with the Elite Danceworld Ballet Group. After studying fulltime ballet for 3 years, I decided to broaden my career and try some other styles.
I was fortunate to dance professionally for over a decade. Having the opportunity to work all over the world. Performing Casino style shows in such places as; Thailand (Andamon Club), Malaysia (Genting Highlands), Cairns (The Velvet Rope Room), Gold Coast (Jupiters Hotel & Casino – Rhythm of the Night). Also working on Cruise ships: Costa Cruise Lines (the Romantica) & working on 5 different Royal Caribbean Cruises (Monarch, Enchantment, Adventure, Mariner & Freedom of the Seas). Also performing in countless smaller gigs both here in Australia and Internationally.
I have been teaching for the past 11 years. My dance styles include. Classical Ballet (RAD), Contemporary, Lyrical, Broadway, Jazz Technique & Tap. With my experience I’m here to inspire my students and teach them all that I have learnt and seen whilst travelling and dancing around the world. I’m honoured that I can teach students what I have been so passionate about my whole life. I believe that if you want something bad enough and you work hard enough for it, anything can happen!
Bodie Fullerton born and raised in Brisbane. At age 16 Bodie moved to Sydney to study full-time at ED5 International. Since then Bodie has worked all over Australia and the World as a Dancer, Choreographer and Director.

Since his dancing days Bodie has gone on to work as a Choreographer and Director creating shows for The Venetian Casino and Hotel Macau, Sands Casino Macau, Galaxy Casino and Resort, Apollo Theatre Dusseldorf. He also is one of the Creative Directors for Norwegian Creative Studios Directing and Choreographing for Norwegian Cruise Line, Regent Seven Seas Cruises and Oceania Cruises.
Bodie now has his own Dance Talent Agency ‘Alive Agency’ representing a number of Australian Dancers on contracts all over the world. From Casinos in Macau, Cruises all across the world, Showgirl reviews all over Germany including Palazzo Mannheim, Crazy Palace, Alexander Kunz Theatre and Apollo Düsseldorf. As well as currently having Dancers on tour with German Rock Legend Udo Lindenberg.
