Popping & Liquid

Popping & Liquid dance is a type of urban dance that evolved together with the western rave culture between the 1970s and 1990s. As it name describes, its main choreographic feature is that the dancer creates an illusion of continuous flow of movement within the body. It is executed in rhythmical connection to electronic dance music (like trance, drum and bass, breakbeat, glitch hop, etc.) and may be mixed with popping, digiting or other close related ways of dancing.
Popping is based on the technique of quickly contracting and relaxing muscles to cause a jerk in a dancer's body, referred to as a pop or a hit. Each hit should be synchronized to the rhythm and beats of the music.
